The European Life Settlement Association (ELSA), the leading European industry group promoting and supporting the life settlement industry, has today announced changes to the composition of the organisation’s Executive Committee.

Leaving the Executive Committee at the end of 2024 are Simon Erritt of Coventry Capital, Phil Hall of Longevity Holdings and Alec Taylor of SL Investment Management; the trio’s terms expire at the end of the year.

“ELSA and I would like to thank Alec, Phil and Simon for their tireless efforts and their invaluable insights during their terms as members of the Executive Committee,” said Chris Wells, Executive Director at ELSA.

Erritt and Hall will continue to serve ELSA via their participation in various sub-committees.

“We are fortunate that Phil and Simon will remain active as participants in certain of ELSA’s sub-committees, and as ambassadors for the life settlement market generally.”

Replacing them on 1st January 2025 are Ryan McTernan, Senior Managing Director at Fifth Season Investments; Adam Meltzer, Managing Partner at Apex Capital Partners; and Scott Willkomm, CEO at Life Equity. Each will serve three-year terms.

“I’m delighted to welcome Ryan, Adam and Scott to ELSA’s Executive Committee,” said Bill Corry, Managing Partner at Corry Capital Advisors and current ELSA Chair.

“I, the Executive Committee, and the broader membership of the organisation are all looking forward to their insights and perspectives as we seek to continue the excellent work that ELSA has done in the past few years.”

“ELSA has been a significant voice in the life settlement industry’s efforts to advance investor awareness and education, particularly in the past few years. Our market has a compelling offering, and I am pleased to be joining the organisation’s executive committee and doing my part to support ELSA’s, and consequently, the wider life settlement community’s, efforts more broadly,” said McTernan.

“I’m delighted to be joining the executive committee at ELSA. Having been involved with the organisation previously, I have seen firsthand how committed both the leadership and wider membership base is to deliver on ELSA’s mission. I’m looking forward to contributing to ELSA’s continued growth as part of the executive,” added Meltzer.

Effective 1st January 2025, ELSA’s Executive Committee will be comprised of:

    Brian Casey, Locke Lord

    Chris Conway, ISC Services

    Bill Corry, Corry Capital

    Ryan McTernan, Fifth Season Investments

    Adam Meltzer, Apex Capital Partners

    Hanna Persson, Ress Capital

    Jule Rousseau, ArentFox Schiff

    Philip Siller, BroadRiver Asset Management

    Scott Willkomm, Life Equity.

The new members were elected at ELSA’s annual general meeting, which it held in Stockholm ahead of its recent Secondary Life Markets Conference.
